[Announce] TFE wants YOU!

Friends and writers,

A lot of changes are happening, and there's no better time to get 
involved with TFE than now.  If you've got the time, we've got a place 
for you.  Most importantly, if we're looking at expanding, we'll need 
some "command ready" people to help us out.

If you have any aspirations to becoming a Commanding Officer in TFE -- 
coming up with plots and story hooks, guiding your fellow players 
through a mission, and influencing an organization that's been around 
for several years and will be around for several more -- you'll need to 
take the Command Course, at least.

The Senior Officer Training (SOT) and Command Course are the primary 
things we at the fleet level look at when narrowing down our choices for 
COs.  It may sound like just a hoop to jump through, but it's an 
important step.  It shows initiative on your part, as well as a 
willingness to go the extra mile.  Also, completion proves you 
understand our expectations for a CO or XO.  Not the least of which, it 
tells us that you're interested in the first place.

If a command isn't in your list of things to do before you die, there 
are several other options that may prove to be that elusive second step 
to world domination.  There has been some interest in reviving the Corps 
of Engineers; an IC/OOC group that advises on tech issues, works up 
specs, and keeps the SIM group technologically consistent.  I also have 
the idea of a Recruiting Command that keeps TFE noticed in the right 
places to attract more of the right players.  Without more players, 
after all, there is no growth and expansion.  And since growth and 
expansion is one of the things I was charged with when accepting this 
position, I'm going to everything I can to make it happen.

You may have read on the Galaxy list that we've got a new up and coming 
Fleet Operations Commander.  Fleet Captain Rece is played by Natasha who 
has been keeping our Academy running smoothly for quite a while now, and 
has been more active since I stepped up.  Suzy will be running the 
Academy again for the time being.  I'd like to extend a special thanks 
to Natasha and Suzy for being invaluable to us.

So what strikes your fancy?  Commanding Officer?  Deputy Fleet 
Operations?  Corps of Engineers?  Recruiting Command?  Starfleet 
Services Commander?  Academy Commandant?  TFEWiki Archivist?  Podcast 
columnist or Voice Actor?  The guy who takes everyone's character pic 
and photoshops a Starfleet uniform on them?  Whatver you've got to 
offer, I can put you to work for us.
