"Fleet Captain..." Suzanna nodded in greeting to Hawke who had just
appeared on the viewscreen in her office. Commodore Stirling also
exchanged greetings with Hawke and then the meeting got started.

"The Meridian and the Yorktown are currently docked her. I have the
Shenandoah on patrol within the sector around Forrest Outpost, Admiral."
Hawke reported. "Given how far the Romulans came before, it would be
wise to keep the Freedom here instead of having her deployed to Sol
defences."

"Agreed, for now. We may change that." Suzanna replied. She would always
have a soft spot for both Forrest and the Freedom, and part of her
wished she was back there now. As soon as the thought appeared she
pushed it down again. There was no time for this.

Hawke merely nodded, in war, any thing was possible and everyone had to
adapt.

"Where possible, we will assign armed vessels to protect important
supplies to Forrest Outpost. But tell Captain Milikan, she should be
prepared to fend for herself for extended periods." Stirling commented.
"I'm working with Sol Defence Command to coordinate that."

"Aye, Commodore." Hawke said. "We'll beef up security; it is a good
thing that the space dock facilities have already arrived. It'll give us
another place to repair and build ships if we need it."

Suzanna nodded in response and observed the Fleet Commander on the
viewscreen; his eyes had turned brooding now. "The Earth President is
sending Ambassadors to both Andoria and Vulcan as part of the diplomatic
drive that is needed. To explain in person what has happened and show
them the proof we have of that. The Yorktown is to take Ambassador Senna
to Andoria, and The Meridian is to take Ambassador Berger to Vulcan.
Both Ambassadors have been briefed already by the President."

"Ambassador Senna has just finished a conference on Mizar. Orders are on
its way for you to pass on to Commander Morgan. The same for Captain
Finney with regards to the orders," Commodore Stirling explained.
"Ambassador Berger is in the Regulus system and needs to be picked up
there."

"If there is nothing else from your side, Fleet Captain..." Suzanna
said, indicating the meeting was all but over. Hawke shook his head.

"Keep in touch. Batenburg out."
