[Galaxy] 2159, June 9 - CO Duty Log - Capt. Roger Finney

   The Bridge was momentarily silent. On one hand knowing that  all the 
Klingons were destroyed was good news, on the other seeing so many  friends 
die, was a shock to the system. It was the second time that the crew had  seen 
such an event, the first was seeing the Stalingrad destroyed. Rog knew that  
he had to get the crew focused on the task at hand.
 
 Rog said, "Alright people, we still have two Rommies out there to  finish 
off. The Yorktown and her group have just arrived, but we're still in  this 
fight." Looking over at the tactical position, he saw PO Palermo. He said,  
"Mr. Palermo, good to see you up on the Bridge. Is Cmdr. Fraiser alright?" 
 
Palermo nodded and replied, "Aye sir. Cmdr. Fraiser went to check on a  
problem with one of our phase cannon."
 
With a nod Rog said, "Very well. Mr. Palermo, target that Rommie who just  
hit us. Without their cloaking ability, they should be easier to hit." 
Turning  to comms he said, "Ms. Redlin, ask Nightingale and New Delhi for 
support. Ask  Morningstar to cover the Garuda and the Aphrodite." Rog wasn't about 
to let any  more of the smaller ships get destroyed if he could help it.
 
  Palermo said, "Sir, target locked. Ready to fire torpedoes."
 
 Rog almost smiled, "Fire Mr. Palermo." The Meridian gently shook as  the 
torpedoes were fired. "Mr. Sheppard, get us closer to the second Rommie and  
be careful of the ..debris." There was still debris from the destruction of  
Poseidon floating about.
 
   Just then, their torpedoes hit home. The Rommie BOP, came to a  dead 
stop and began to list to port. Rog said, "Good shooting Mr. Palermo."  Tapping 
the comm button he said, "Chief Eversam, that last hit we took, damage  
report. Bones, casualty report."
