-- Cochrane Arena: San Francisco, Earth --

Vic stood with other Armory personnel for this historic occasion. To think
all their trials and hardships came to this moment. With him for this
event were of course, the Avengers. Anderson, Bushnell, Galloway and Magee. The
others had bandages showing their sacrifice, but Magee had to wear a
special cast and was getting around with the aid of crutches. The doctors had
advised her not to go, but a certain commander had broken her out of the
rehab center.

Bushnell said, "Sir, have you ever met Capt. Archer?"

Vic replied, "No I haven't Bushnell. Of course like everyone else, I've
heard of his exploits with the Enterprise."

Just then, Archer started his speech. He spoke of the many trials and
hardships they'd faced. Vic only had to look at Magee and recall his own
adventures during the war, to be reminded of those hardships. Still, it was a
speech filled with hope for the present, as well as for the future. Vic found
himself clapping and cheering with the others, as the speech went on.

Next came the ambassadors and the first was the Vulcan, T'Jan. Vic had
to give his people a look to prevent their booing the Vulcan. To say the
Vulcans had been less than helpful regarding technology, would have been an
understatement. When she got to the non interference part of her speech, Magee
made a rude sound and Vic shot her a look. Though he couldn't really blame
her, it was the way they all felt. Vic was sure they weren't alone in
their attitude regarding the Vulcans.

Vic and the others gave the ambassadors from the other worlds polite
applause. The Cordian ambassador a bit more than the others. Vic and his group
understood how the Cordians felt about the treachery they'd suffered at the
hands of the Vulcans and Andorians. When all the platitudes were over
with, Vic turned and said, "Well, how'd it feel to witness history?"

Bushnell summed up the attitude of most of the Armory personnel. He
said, "Hey, let's grab a pizza and some beer."

Vic nodded and replied, "Sounds good. I'll be buying." Vic and the Avengers
headed for the nearest pizza place and looked forward to a good time
before heading back to the ship.
