[Galaxy] 2161, Oct 26 - CO Duty Log - Capt. Roger Finney

Suddenly one of the junior  engineers gave a cry of panic and drew back as 
the view screen flickered to  life. Right in front of them was a Romulan 
warbird. His hand shifted to the  weapons, but Trevor could suddenly see that 
the warbird was floating helplessly  to starboard, with no power or lights 
along the exterior hull. One of its’ wings  was almost completely severed from 
the main ship. Trevor swallowed. “Sir...it  looks like the warbird in front 
of us suffered far worst damage than we did.  It’s broadcasting a distress 
call, but I’m not  detecting any other cruisers nearby.”
 
 
Andre said, ""Captain did you  want to help out that warbird?"



Rog snapped out of the  momentary shock he was in. He looked at the fatally 
damaged warbird and smiled.  For a moment, he thought of having Jonas fire 
their remaining torpedoes at it.  The Rommies should be made to pay for all 
the good people they'd killed. Then,  common sense returned. He replied, "No 
Andre, we will not help those damned  Rommies. They're probably so 
radioactive by now, that they're glowing in the  dark. Steer clear of them and 
follow the Challenger at best possible  speed."
 
 
  The Trauma medic that  Marx had sent said, "Sir, Hendriksen is just 
knocked out. Though, I must admit  her pulse is rather weak. I'll have her sent 
down to Sickbay." He began to turn  around, but thought better of it and 
remarked, "Sir, if I may say, I'm sorry  about the doctor. I know you were good 
friends."
 
 
Rog nodded and replied, "Yes,  thanks petty officer." Looking at Jonas, he 
said, "Jonas, I'm afraid I'll have  to ask you to monitor both the sensors 
at both your station and Hendriksen's for  the time being. Inform me of any 
new threats." Rog was forced to hang onto the  chair as the grav generator 
still had not been fixed. He dreaded the fall he was  going to take when it 
did come on. Tapping the comm button he said, "Wang, when  will you get the 
grav generator back online?'
