// Starship Challenger Bridge \\
The doors on the bridge opened to admit the form of T'Lara onto the deck. Her cool Vulcan gaze moved over the faces of the bridge as she made her way over towards the Science Console, but did not immediately relieve Cinda Zhang, who glanced back at her from her sensor readings as she grew near. The scientist shook her head slightly at the Asian woman, as if to say "Not just yet" and stood a moment, with several pads and such in hand.
Her eyes moved towards the screen as she stood there a moment, listening and taking the situation in. Her examination of the devices had proven no more fruitful than they had thus far. She had been, and still was, intending to speak to their Klingon guest concerning their function and operation, but as yet, had not been able to set up sufficient time to do so. That should change very soon, she thought as she assessed the situation on the bridge.
T'Lara was also aware that one of the Vulcan ships they had rendezvoused with was commanded by T'Pren, her old immediate superior, and friend, or at the very least acquaintence. They'd spoken several times during their shared service aboard Challenger and had become more than simply colleagues, though perhaps less than best friends. Nonetheless, there was a bond of sorts between them. It would be most agreeable to see and speak with T'Pren once again.
The interchange and interaction going on around the bridge was not lost on the Vulcan, and the Tellarite's words, and the crew's reactions to those words, were the purpose behind her waiting before speaking, or approaching the captain or her station. She was aware of the Tellarite propensity for profanity, and for being extremely argumentative and belligerent. She was certain the crew should be at the very least nominally aware of it, between past experiences, study, and her own impromptu briefings on more than one occasion. Even so, it seemed that the Tellarite's tension threshold was being compromised, given the vehemence of his reactions and words.
As the captain gave her final orders concerning the disposition of the ship at the moment, and prepared to leave the bridge, she approached her, a pad in hand extended towards her commanding officer. "Pardon me, Captain," she said quietly, glancing at the pad. "This is my analysis of the devices, and several hypotheses concerning their function. I have yet to speak to your Klingon acquaintence concerning them, but shall be doing so as soon as is feasible. Are there any further orders, or a change in the priorities of my current tasks?"
The thoughts T'Lara had been having concerning her performance, and perhaps lack of meshing with her human compatriots, had been prominent in her thoughts lately, and she awaited her captain's response. As illogical as it would sound, she hoped that her concerns were unnecessary, yet as one who was relentlessly devoted to the pursuit of perfection, or as close as one could aspire to perfection, she felt it necessary to constantly evaluate herself, and the opinions of those she served under and with.
