<DIV> Rog had been thinking about getting a
personal yeoman for sometime now. Seeing Sasha having one, didn't make him feel
jealous or anything, it just made him realize what had to be done. So, he called
in the three best enlisted personnel from the Command level personnel. They were
PO1 James McAlister, PO1 William Staines and PO2 Sandra Gomez.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> He had decided to interview them separately, starting with
Staines. The man was Stanley Staines twin brother, in yet no twins were ever
more dissimilar than these twins. William was as efficient as Stanley was
clumsy. Rog looked up from the PADD containing William's service record and
said, "Well petty officer, so you're Stanley's twin brother eh? Tell me why I
should make you my yeoman?"</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> William stood ramrod straight and replied, "Sir, I'm efficient and
know what I'm about. While I'm Stanley's twin, I hope you don't hold it against
me."</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Rog smiled and answered, "I take it Stanley has always been..um."</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>William said, "A clumsy oaf is I believe the term you're looking for sir
and yes I'm afraid he has been that, all his life."</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Rog nodded and said, "Hmm yes, well I'll let you know petty officer. Please
send in PO McAlister."</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>William replied, "Aye sir." After turning around, he silently cursed his
brother and wondered if he could get away with pushing Stanley out an airlock.
As he exited the Ready Room he said, "He wants you in there Jim."</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> Jim went in and stood at attention. </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Rog asked him the same question that he had William, "Petty Officer
McAlister, why should I make you my yeoman?"</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> Jim answered, "Sir, I feel that I can be a real asset to the Command
team. I'm well organized and could assist you in running a tight ship."</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Rog answered, "I see. Well I'll let you know petty officer. Please send in
Petty Officer Gomez."</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Jim nodded and left the room, telling Sandra to go on in. After the door
closed, Jim turned to William and said, "You know she's got the job don't
you?"</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>William nodded and answered, "With a body like hers, was there any doubt.
Still with a brother like mine, my chances were slim anyway. Let's grab a bite
to eat. Hopefully Stanley won't dump everything on us." Both men laughed as they
left for the Mess Hall.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Sandra stood at attention, which in turn brought attention to her figure.
Rog said, "Tell me petty officer, why should I make you my yeoman?"</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> Sandra replied, "Sir, I'm a hard worker and before joining Starfleet,
I ran the catering department of my family's hotel in Bogota. We were
consistently rated five stars. I feel I could bring the same efficiency to the
job of yeoman."</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV> Rog was impressed, in more ways than one. He said, "Very well petty
officer, I'll let you know one way or the other in say the next day or so. If
you get the job, it'll be a bit tedious from time to time, but also quite
exciting and dangerous, given what we'll be up against. Dismissed." Rog spun
around in his chair and began gazing out at the stars as they streaked by the
porthole.</DIV>

<DIV> Sandra smiled and left the Ready Room, certain she had secured the
position. </DIV>
